January Newsletter – Upcoming Wine Tours & A Taste of Languedoc at La Garrigue

Jean-Michel 2025 Languedoc wine tours dates

Dear Friends of La Garrigue and Future Wine Tour Guests,

Yes, I know—it’s been a while since I last wrote! Fortunately, Morgan has been doing such a fantastic job that my role as “La Garrigue Correspondent” has become more of a contributor than a lead voice in our newsletter. But perhaps 2025 will give me more opportunities to actively participate in this monthly tradition once again.

Today, like many across France, I’m working from home as Storm Eowyn sweeps through, causing quite a bit of disruption to daily life. Not that I mind—I’ve used this unexpected break to plan my days off so I can watch the upcoming Six Nations rugby games (well, at least the French matches!) and, more importantly, to finalise the 2025 Wine Tour schedule.

Yes, you read that correctly—2025 might just be my last year as a wine tour operator and guide in my beloved Languedoc… though, much like Tyson, retirement has been mentioned before, and I wouldn’t count on it just yet!

2025 Wine Tour Dates

After reviewing the Ryanair flight schedules for 2025, I have selected the proposed dates for the upcoming wine tours:

🗓️ June 22nd – June 29th
🗓️ July 6th – July 13th
🗓️ September 7th – September 14th

Each of these tours is limited to just 8 places, so if you’re interested, don’t wait too long to get in touch!

Would you like to put together a private group of 4 to 8 people to share in this epic wine journey? I’d be delighted to organise additional tour dates for those who want to explore not just wine, but also the culture, history, and stunning landscapes of Languedoc.

If you’re unsure whether a wine tour is for you, pop into La Garrigue, and I’ll happily tell you more over a glass of something special.

La Garrigue: A Taste of the South of France in Edinburgh

Speaking of La Garrigue, have you visited us recently? We’re still open for lunch and dinner from Tuesday to Saturday, continuing to serve our customers an authentic taste of the Midi—between the Mediterranean, the Massif Central, the Pyrenees, and La Camargue.

With a menu full of French comfort food and regional delicacies, you’ll find dishes like:

🍲 Traditional fish soups
🍗 Cassoulet & rabbit with truffles
🧀 Roquefort and other artisan cheeses
🍷 Carefully selected wines and spirits

Every plate is filled with a little bit of sunshine from the South of France—so when was the last time you visited your favourite French restaurant?

Give us a call and book a table—à bientôt!

Jean-Michel
